What This Means for You
For Families:
You receive unbiased recommendations from a local advisor who knows Washington facilities personally, not scripted suggestions from a call center agent reading from a database.
For Facilities:
You receive qualified, pre-screened referrals from families who are genuinely appropriate matches—not just tour volume from anyone who called a 1-800 number.
Frequently Asked Questions
For Families
Q: Is BestCareMatch™ really free? What’s the catch?
A: Yes, 100% free with no hidden fees, ever. We’re compensated by facilities only after successful placements. This model ensures we find the right fit for your loved one, not just any placement. Your satisfaction directly impacts our success.
Q: Are you affiliated with Washington State DSHS or AAA?
A: We are an independent organization, not affiliated with or endorsed by state agencies. Our Verified Network standards are designed to meet or exceed DSHS requirements. We can coordinate facility site visits with state inspections when schedules permit, but we operate as a private advisory service.
Q: How do I know your recommendations aren’t biased toward certain facilities?
A: Our Verified Seal is 100% merit-based. No facility can pay for better placement priority or directory prominence. We match families based solely on care needs, budget, location, and preferences. You’ll always receive our honest assessment, and you’re free to choose any facility—whether in our network or not.
Q: What if we’re not satisfied with a placement you recommended?
A: We conduct post-placement follow-ups to ensure satisfaction. If issues arise, we advocate on your behalf and can assist with finding alternative options. Our reputation depends on successful, lasting placements, so your concerns are our priority.
Q: How long does the placement process take?
A: For non-urgent situations, we typically complete placements within 7-14 days from initial consultation to move-in. For urgent hospital discharges or immediate needs, we can often arrange placements within 24-48 hours.
Q: Do you only work with facilities in your Verified Network?
A: No. While we strongly recommend our Verified facilities because they’ve passed rigorous quality and compliance reviews, we can provide information about any licensed facility in Washington State. Your choice always comes first.
For Facilities
Q: What does the placement fee cover, and when is it due?
A: The placement fee covers our comprehensive family matching services, pre-screening, tour coordination, and post-placement support. Payment is due only after a successful placement and move-in. Take advantage of our 25% early payment discount when paid in full on the resident’s first day.
Q: How is this different from other referral services?
A: Unlike volume-based services that send you every family that calls, we pre-screen and match families to your specific care specialties and community culture. You receive fewer, higher-quality referrals that are more likely to result in long-term residents. Plus, our Verified Network provides ongoing marketing, compliance support, and training at no additional cost.
Q: What are the requirements to join the Verified Network?
A: Active Washington State license, clean compliance history, commitment to annual documentation renewal, participation in family feedback collection, and agreement to transparent incident reporting. First-year enrollment is complimentary.
Q: What happens if we lose our Verified Seal?
A: The Verified Seal can be suspended or revoked for compliance lapses, recurring family complaints, or failure to maintain documentation standards. We provide remediation support to help facilities regain compliance. Facilities can appeal decisions through a formal review process.
Q: Can we still receive referrals if we’re not in the Verified Network?
A: Our primary referrals go to Verified facilities. However, if a family specifically requests a non-verified facility or has unique needs only you can meet, we’ll provide information about your services with appropriate context about verification status.
Q: How do you verify family reviews?
A: We only collect reviews from families we directly placed and can verify the placement. Reviews are moderated for authenticity and appropriateness. Facilities can respond to reviews and request clarification if information seems inaccurate. We don’t post anonymous reviews.
