Consultation credit: An eligible, previously paid $300 Remote Consultation fee is fully credited toward an On-Site or Extended On-Site consultation for the same Adult Family Home and the same inspection report. If the same home and inspection report require a deeper review, an eligible $300 Remote Consultation payment is credited in full toward the $650 On-Site or $950 Extended On-Site consultation. BCM confirms eligibility and applies the credit to the upgraded consultation.
Which consultation format should I select?
Select Remote when the matter can be evaluated from the report, records, and a virtual session. Select On-Site when targeted direct observation or in-person record review is important. Select Extended On-Site for complex, interconnected, or documentation-intensive findings requiring up to four on-site hours.
Does BCM guarantee that DSHS will accept the response?
No. BCM provides independent consultation and compliance-support services. DSHS retains regulatory authority, and no consultant can guarantee acceptance, removal of a citation, or a particular inspection or enforcement outcome.
Does an on-site consultation certify that every deficiency is corrected?
No. During an on-site consultation, BCM reviews conditions and evidence available within the approved scope and identifies what can and cannot be demonstrated at that time. The licensed provider remains responsible for correcting every deficiency and maintaining compliance.
Does BCM sign the attestation or submit the inspection report?
No. The Adult Family Home is responsible for verifying the facts, signing and dating the attestation of correction statements, and returning the required documents to the department by the applicable deadline.
Is an Informal Dispute Resolution request included?
No. The consultation does not include legal representation, an administrative appeal, or an Informal Dispute Resolution request. Any separate dispute-related service must be expressly agreed in writing.
