Independent On-Site Readiness Service for Washington Adult Family Homes
Washington Adult Family Home Mock Inspection
See the home, records, staff readiness, medication/MAR systems, and administrative operations as one readiness picture—while there is still an opportunity to address what deserves attention.
What changes after the assessment
From “Are we ready?” to a prioritized action picture.
The service is designed to help AFH owners, licensees, resident managers, and available staff understand what the home can currently show—and what should be addressed first.
Assess
Review the principal facility, record, staffing, medication, and administrative readiness domains together.
Test
Use selected “Show Me” drills to check whether the practice can be located, explained, or demonstrated.
Identify
Discuss priority readiness concerns before the on-site assessment concludes.
Act
Receive organized Findings & Corrective Actions™ within 24–48 hours.

01 — Full-Facility Readiness Review
More than a walkthrough. More than a binder check.
The assessment looks across the principal readiness domains so the provider can see how separate records and practices connect on inspection day.
- Facility and environmental readiness
- Resident-record screening
- Staff-file readiness
- Medication storage and MAR documentation
- Administrative records, required policies, and logs
- Emergency, incident, and reporting readiness
02 — Inspector-Style “Show Me” Drills
Having the record is different from being ready to show the practice.
Selected readiness simulations help test whether the provider or available staff can locate, explain, demonstrate, or respond when asked.
- Hand-hygiene demonstration
- Medication-storage explanation
- Emergency-response readiness
- Resident-record retrieval
- Selected staff-response scenarios based on what is available during the visit

03 + 04 — Identify and Act
Priority findings now. Written corrective actions next.
Important readiness concerns are discussed before BCM leaves. The organized written deliverable follows within 24–48 hours.
- Finding — what was identified
- Priority — what deserves attention first
- Corrective Action — the practical next action
- Recheck — what may need follow-up confirmation

When preparation time matters

Identify important gaps, practice selected responses, and receive actionable findings while there is still an opportunity to address them.
Clear scope. Clear expectations.
Important questions before scheduling.
